Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Roads Officer to join a flexible team of professionals in delivering a high quality service within East Lothian Council Roads Services team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has knowledge and experience in inspection & maintenance of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure and related roadside electrical apparatus.
You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and standards in the maintenance of such infrastructure within East Lothian. This will in part include periodic surveys and inspection to resolve faults and assist in preparation of designs and works orders. You will support the team in the management of EV infrastructure and associated roadside electrical apparatus and will be required to assess, review, prioritise, prepare orders and supervise works on site by the internal labour force and or external contractors ensuring works are completed in accordance with contract documentation and best practice.
The candidate will need to be confident with good verbal and written communication skills who can quickly establish good working relationships. You will also need to be IT proficient as digital technology is used daily as part of the role. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team of Technical staff and will engage with a wide and diverse audience ( Technical and non-Technical) as well as members of the public.
