The Atrato Group has been appointed as the Investment Adviser to a private UK real estate fund set up to invest in residential housing for vulnerable residents. The Fund has suffered tenant, property and governance issues and Atrato have been appointed to stabilise the portfolio. The Fund owns 900 properties with c. 6,000 lettable bed spaces. As newly appointed Investment Adviser to the Fund, Atrato’s priority will be to identify the issues facing the Fund and work with to resolve the issues. Core skills & experience What must you have to be considered? Input into the management of the fund Portfolio management Engagement with fund service providers e.g. valuers, external property managers etc Property inspections Input into and continue to help define the asset management strategy of the fund Rectifying issues with problem properties Dealing with contentious tenant issues Finding and engaging new tenants Implementing and overseeing capex works Liaising with investors and inputting into investor deliverables e.g. quarterly reports Tenant liaison Preferred experience 15 years of real estate experience UK real estate fund experience Residential asset management – agreeing new leases, removing problem tenants, finding alternative uses for properties, selling non-performing properties etc Some residential development experience – refurbishments, structural works, new build projects
