An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Addiction Nurse to join Addiction Services on a permanent basis.
Addiction Services provide specialist treatment for people with drug and/or alcohol problems across Fife and are delivered from three main localities – Whyteman’s Brae Hospital, Cameron Hospital and Lynebank Hospital – providing treatment to the Fife-wide population – Central Fife (population of 147,370); North East Fife (population of 74,180); and, West Fife (population of 126,840).
As an Addiction Nurse, you will work as part of a multi-professional team and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, providing high quality care to clients with drug and/or alcohol-related issues.
You will be a First Level Registered Nurse with experience of working directly or indirectly with individuals who have drug and/or alcohol issues. You will have good communication skills, possess the ability to manage your time effectively, and have the ability to reflect on personal practice.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday but with occasional flexibility expected in line with service needs.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
