Purpose: The antenatal ward / triage manager will use midwifery expertise to promote excellence in maternity care, leading and supporting midwives to realise their full potential as autonomous practitioners placing women and their families at the centre of care. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, passionate midwife who wishes to develop their managerial and leadership skills. The post holder will ensure that high quality midwifery care is delivered The post holder will contribute to the maintenance of high standards of clinical practice, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, and will participate in the monitoring of patient outcomes through audit and patient feedback The post holder will work closely with the Maternity Inpatient Matron, Maternity Ward Managers Delivery Suite Coordinators, midwives and obstetric team to develop and sustain a maternity service that is responsive to the needs of women, staff and both local and national agendas. They will take the lead on the development of midwifery practice on the antenatal ward and maternity triage, actively promoting and developing care pathways which ensure best practice standards are met,
