Inclusion Assistant
We wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and experienced Inclusion Assistant to join our wonderful team. We are looking for someone who has adaptability, experience in learning support and above all, someone who shares our ethos of putting the children at the centre of all we do.
The successful applicant will be sensitive to children's varying needs and be able to work under the guidance of the teaching team and Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will:
* have a good understanding of children's needs, both pastoral and educational
* have excellent levels of literacy and numeracy
* have excellent communication skills
* have the highest expectations of children’s behaviour
* have a strong empathy with children’s diverse needs
* have good initiative and be flexible
* have experience of supporting children in a learning environment
* be able to liaise with the class teacher, providing feedback and keeping records of progress and behaviour as required
* support the social, emotional, behavioural and medical needs of pupils as necessary
* prepare resources and undertake administrative tasks
* display children's work creatively
* work as part of the team with a sense of humour and a sense of fun
The responsibilities will include:
* supporting the learning of groups and individuals
* delivery of interventions, as directed by the class teacher
* supervision of pupils at break times and lunch times
* run an after-school club once a week
* occasional supervision of the class

The successful candidate will be expected to work five days a week. This is 32.5 hours per week over 38 weeks per year.
