Job Description:
Solar PV O&M Engineering Manager required. Our client is an established Renewable Energy company specialising in Battery Storage, Heat Pumps, Biomass and Solar PV. They are looking for a Solar PV O&M Engineering Manager to join the team due to the growth of the business.
Position Overview
* Provide Annual Inspection testing; visit sites to check all system components in order to detect and prevent potential future issues.
* Set up and respond to remote monitoring systems to efficiently detect and remedy issues remotely where possible.
* Produce monthly performance reports for customers detailing kWh generation, environmental metrics, issues remedied etc.
* Deal with all incoming enquiries for problem resolution, identifying the appropriate course of action to remedy.
* Managing own diary to visit sites to undertake resolution of issues identified.
* Determining cost of identified remedy, raising invoice for issue to customer and following through to payment.
* Coordination of sub-contractors where necessary to assist with more in-depth remedies/where extra personnel are required.
* Implementation and management of remote monitoring equipment.
* Updating Hubspot CRM system for effective tracking of all issues raised and remedied.
* Department Development.
* Take ownership of the growth of the O&M department, assisting with development of growth plans.
* Initially responsible for all aspects of leading this department including; completing all administrative tasks, raising and issuing invoices, setting appointments, communicating with customers and more.
* Direct line management responsibilities as the department grows, assisting with; need identification, recruitment, training and development of team.
* Operating under Kaizen (continuous development) and using own initiative to make suggestions for, and improvements to, the current offering and/or way of working.
Position Requirements
* 3+ Years of experience in the industry.
* Have a good understanding of health and safety legislation - minimum requirement working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
* Experienced in installation/replacement of multiple inverter types such as; Solis, SMA, SolarEdge.
* Experienced in using and manipulating data from inverter reporting software.
* City & Guilds 2381 18th Edition, NVQ level 3 and 2391 test and inspection.
* CSCS - Training can be provided if no current quals held.
Position Remuneration
* Salary: £45-60k DOE, potentially higher.
* Working hours: 40 hours.
* Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BH.
