Children’s Support Worker

A happy, joyful Day Centre is looking for a confident, sociable children's support worker to add value to their supportive, caring team. This role would begin ASAP and would need flexibility.
Responsibilities:
To assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of community and centre-based activities that support young children's learning, development, and health ensuring consistency of high-quality provision. Working as part of a team, to take a lead on the development and delivery of universal and targeted services for children and their families.
To assist in the planning and delivery of appropriate activities that help to support the learning and development of young children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. To ensure all Children’s Centre activities are set up with appropriate toys and equipment before each session begins, ensuring a risk assessment is completed and updated regularly.
Minimum Requirements:
1. MUST Provide support to children across the age of 0-10
2. Work with groups of children that have Learning Disabilities.
3. MUST have over a year’s UK experience with Children and Learning Disabilities
4. Have a good level of English (written & verbal) skills
5. MUST be happy to provide personal care
6. MUST be flexible
7. MUST hold a DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly. You must be able to provide 5 years’ references and either have all mandatory training in date, or be prepared to complete this prior to starting your assignment.
