Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Warehouse Operative to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the movement of stock within the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes for goods receipting, picking, packing, and dispatching. This role involves maintaining high standards of accuracy in inventory management and delivering excellent customer service.
The role’s key responsibilities are:
* Goods Receipting & Picking: Undertake goods receipting and accurate picking for warehouse-managed stock, ensuring all items are correctly logged and tracked.
* Inventory Management: Verify and manage the quantity, part numbers, and serial numbers of goods received from customers and suppliers using ORACLE/WMS.
* Customer Service Excellence: Support in-service repairs and replacements, providing timely and accurate customer service.
* Quality Control: Inspect all incoming and outgoing goods for damage, ensuring that items meet quality standards before being forwarded or returned.
* Packaging: Ensure all items are packaged appropriately for transport to suppliers and customers to prevent damage during shipping.
* Stores & Warehouse Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of stores facilities and ensure that picking, kitting, packing, and dispatch processes are efficient and organized.
* Storage Management: Manage both onsite and offsite storage processes, optimizing space utilization and ensuring stock accuracy.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed in line with company objectives, promoting a safe working environment.
* Security Procedures: Adhere to site security procedures, safeguarding company assets and stock.
* Loading & Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
* Additional Duties: Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by management to support warehouse operations.
Skills & Experience:
* Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Proficient understanding and experience with ORACLE/WMS for inventory tracking and management.
* Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage and check stock quantities, serial numbers, and part numbers accurately.
* Customer Focus: Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service, particularly in support of product repairs and replacements.
* Physical Capability: Ability to handle the physical demands of loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse environment.
* Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, with flexibility to assist in various tasks as required.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is essential.
* Experience with ORACLE or similar Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
