Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Our Logistics team in Christchurch is on the hunt for a highly experienced person with warehouse operations for picking, packing, and shipping our customer orders. A MHE license/certificate and 2 plus years' experience with reach operations up to 10m and forklift operations for loading and unloading freight are required. This opportunity is for our day shift; 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely, efficient, and safe handling of freight in order for the company to achieve their target delivery goals, on time and damage-free. The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer-focused attitude and a reliable work ethic.
Additional key duties include:
* Load and unload all freight safely and securely
* Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
* Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
* Prioritize health and safety and ensure all MHE is operated in a safe and proficient manner
* Communicate effectively within a team environment
To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with prior reach and counterbalance experience. Additionally, you will need:
* An approved forklift certificate
* Prior work experience in the freight/logistics industry
* A strong health and safety focus
* Experience with barcode/RF Scanners in a WMS environment
* Continuous improvement ideas around inward and outward goods movements
* A strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* To be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required (up to 20kgs)
