Job summary The Reynard Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis for 37 hours per week on Monday - Fridays, rotating between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm, this may also occasionally involve some enhanced access cover on Monday or Thursday evenings working until 8pm. The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online, telephone or by email and SMS. We provide a high quality service that you would expect to receive for yourself or your family. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who ideally has NHS, customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills. Main duties of the job Greeting and directing all patients. Making appointments. Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate. Accepting, issuing and handing out letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc. Advising patients of practice procedures. Registering new patients. Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning. Completing ANIMA requests. Carrying out internal tasks. We are a member of Forest Heath PCN which consists of approx 72,000 patients across 8 surgeries. Our 2 GP partners lead a team of multiskilled professionals in a busy environment these include nurses, health care assistant, pharmacist and and Care Co-ordinator all of whom are based in our premises.
