Role Information
The Plant Coordinator will:
1. Integrate successfully with the existing business, relevant departments and staff.
2. Have a flexible approach to workload.
3. Demonstrate good Microsoft Excel skills.
4. Hold a clean and current driving license.
5. Be prepared to travel throughout the UK.
Purpose and Objectives
Provide the enthusiasm and energy to ensure that we successfully fulfill its objectives and long-term strategy. The key objectives of the role are to:
1. Be responsible for the day-to-day management of all plant in the company.
2. Provide accurate reporting in line with company requirements.
Personal Qualities & Experience
* Construction related background working for principal contractors.
* Experience of plant hire/off hire is essential.
* Experience working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience working for a multi-site organization.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ideally, the candidate will have a construction background.
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Experience in a similar role.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role is focused on achieving results in a consistent manner to a defined quality. Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Manage the control of all plant across in the most cost-effective manner in line with the business needs.
2. Providing analysis, planning, scheduling, and coordination of plant movement within the business and maintain records for the purchasing department.
3. Consolidating records for owned plant within the company and keep accurate records including service/calibration records where necessary.
4. Maintain all plant in a timely manner to ensure all planned maintenance and calibrations.
5. Work within the procurement team general day-to-day requests for hire and purchasing.
6. General admin duties consistent with plant hire and purchases.
