Description The Service & Team: This role is designed to support the Assets Team in Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service to support the IT and Assurance of front-line systems The Role: This role is designed to support the Assets Team in Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service to support the IT and Assurance of front-line systems, such as Mobile Data Terminal’s, Emergency Services Network, Tom Tom’s hardware and contracts and station end equipment, this list is not exhaustive. This involves first and second line support of front line systems and will require the post holder to drive and attend any station within the service, at short notice within office hours. To enable this, the role holder will help develop, maintain and support the management of a number of key assets across the service as well as help ensure key operational hardware, systems and software are capable of meeting the current and future demands of the service. The role holder will be highly visible across the service, driving and supporting change and new ways of working and will need to be confident with presenting to groups of people both internally and externally. As a member of the Assets Team you will work closely with other teams across the Cornwall Fire and Rescue service to deliver service objectives and priorities Working Pattern: Office hours of 37 hours per week or 7.4 hours per day Monday to Friday. What you’ll need to succeed: Experience and knowledge of providing first and second line break fix support (including both remote and field support.) Experience on installing replacement hardware and software for Windows based and bespoke IT systems. Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, able to evidence successful relationships with colleagues, managers and external partners. Excellent IT skills and demonstrable use of various systems and software. Resourceful and able to use own initiative to solve IT problems.
