My client is a manufacturing company producing metal fabricated and pressed products. Established and very successful, they are looking to add to their team.
Role: -
MIG & TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, typically from 1mm up to 20mm thick.
Working to engineering drawings.
Jig making.
Problem solving.
Dressing and finishing.
Marking and identifying materials.
Checking that finished products comply with specifications.
One off prototype work as well as medium batch production.
Ability to work in and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and work instructions.
Some knowledge and use of hand tools and machinery.
Good standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Works well on own initiative and as part of a team.
Punctual and reliable.
Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability including possible secondment to work in other areas on the shop floor.
Experience required: -
Fabrication.
MIG Welding.
TIG Welding.
Ability to work with and weld Mild Steel/Stainless Steel/Aluminium to a high quality.
Able to dress welds to a high standard and experience in graining Stainless Steel by hand (not essential but desirable).
39 hour week, Monday to Thursday (4 day week) 7.00am to 5.15pm each day with ½ hour lunch.
