Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking
o Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to menu specifications and recipes.
o Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all food items.
o Assist with daily prep work.
o Set up, stock, and maintain a clean, organised workstation.
o Ensure all ingredients and tools are properly prepped and available before service.
o Communicate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth service flow.
2. Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance
o Follow HACCP and food safety regulations, including proper storage and labelling.
o Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas.
o Prevent cross-contamination and allergen exposure.
o Support HC and Kitchen supervisor with daily Due diligence and record keeping on Alert65.
3. Supporting the Kitchen Team
o Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing food deliveries.
o Work closely with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
o Be flexible in helping with other tasks as needed, such as cleaning.
4. Cleaning & Equipment Maintenance
o Maintain a clean workstation, including surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
o Assist with end-of-day cleaning, dishwashing, and waste disposal.
o Report any damaged or faulty kitchen equipment to management.
