We are recruiting a 4-session salaried GP on a fixed term contract until We are acting in line with NHS England guidance for the recruitment of GPs funded by the Additional Roles Reimbursement GP Recruitment Scheme:
1. The GP must NOT be beyond their 2nd anniversary of certificate of completion of training, issued by the GMC, at the start of their employment
2. Applicants must not have been substantively employed as a GP in a general medical practice previously
We arelooking for an enthusiastic & dedicated GP to join our team. We are an outstanding teaching practice and receivedcommendation from the University of Liverpool due to the level of teachingprovided, & this role would be ideally suited to a doctor who has recently completed their CCT.
We are a GMSPractice, with a diverse 14,274 list size and consistently achieve high QOFalong with other clinical targets & KPIs, while participating in local& national enhanced services. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. By working as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, the candidate will deliver an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, thepost-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributingto the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Normal duties includes surgery consultations, visiting patients at home, duty doctor responsibilities, face to face consultations and signing repeat prescriptions. The candidate will be responsible for ordering, viewing and actioning patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations, and making onward referrals.
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, annual QOF Assessment of the Practice.
Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation. Attending training, Practice Meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
