Dynamic and professional Operations Director required to drive efficiencies, integrate, and streamline existing divisions while managing and motivating a highly successful team.
Our client has been established for over 30 years and is a global market leader in providing high-quality special purpose infrastructure solutions worldwide. Due to continued success and an ongoing program of strategic growth and restructuring, they are seeking a proactive Operations Director to enhance operational efficiency and oversee the integration of various teams into the division.
The role involves shaping and continuously improving the operations department's processes, including asset management, transport, warehouse operations, and project management. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Mentoring and motivating divisional teams to achieve productivity and engagement.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with department heads to align operational activities with strategic goals.
3. Fostering interdepartmental collaboration through resource planning and efficiency management during seasonal fluctuations.
4. Analyzing operational processes and performance, providing visibility of goals, progress, obstacles, and recommending improvements.
5. Implementing strategic goals to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
6. Collaborating with department heads on financial and budgetary planning.
7. Evaluating risks, leading quality assurance, and ensuring H&S compliance.
8. Participating in the development of a suitable ERP system to support business growth and integration.
9. Reviewing current KPIs and recommending adjustments for maximum productivity.
10. Reporting monthly to Directors on performance, efficiencies, and challenges.
To qualify for this challenging opportunity, candidates should have at least 5 years of senior operational leadership experience, managing teams across multiple locations.
