Quality Inspector - Assembly and Test
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector at our Titchfield site. This role focuses on visual inspection of assemblies and components to ensure they meet the required specifications. The position is suitable for individuals with inspection experience within a production environment, and we are open to considering experienced production personnel or fitters with the right personality and attention to detail. This is an exciting time to join as they prepare for a site move to a state-of-the-art facility in mid-to-late 2026.
What You'll Do:
Conduct visual inspection of assemblies and components to verify conformance to drawings and internal/external requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure all inspected parts match specified criteria before progressing through the production process.
Maintain a safe working environment and uphold high housekeeping standards.
Support various departments by assisting with quality-related investigations when required.
Segregate, identify, and report non-conforming work through the NCR process.
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Provide inspection cover across the site where demand dictates.
Work collaboratively with the team and independently when required.
Be available for additional hours as needed to support production demands.Qualifications & Experience:
Apprenticeship or 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in inspection within a production environment (aerospace experience is not required but advantageous).
Technical production experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes is considered.
Candidates without inspection experience but with strong production/fitting experience and the right personality traits will be considered.Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, component maintenance manuals, and standards.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
MRP/ERP system experience at an inspector level - advantageous.
Experience with measurement and inspection equipment - advantageous.
Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office applications and custom databases.Additional Considerations:
Candidates with electronic inspection backgrounds will be considered.
Personality traits are a key factor in selecting the right candidate.
Individuals with some skills but limited inspection experience will be assessed based on their potential and suitability for progression.
One-stage face-to-face interview process.
Immediate start available.Hours & Overtime:
Flexible core hours: Start between 7:00 - 8:00 AM; finish between 3:45 - 4:30 PM, with an early finish on Fridays.
Regular Overtime available (Often after shifts in the evening, staying late on Fridays, or over weekends)
Overtime paid at 1.5x after 37 hours per week.Salary & Benefits:
Offering a salary of £33,705- £35,855 with room for progression.
