Role Purpose: As a Warehouse Operative you will work in a temperature-controlled and GMP warehouse (heavily audited by internal and external clients of warehouse and external regulatory agencies). Warehouse Operatives are responsible for receiving, handling, and issuance of materials from warehouse to internal and external customers.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
1. The receipt, control, and issuance of GMP and non-GMP materials.
2. Ensure the areas have adequate supplies of consumables, other in-house stock items, and equipment (This may include engineering stores items and industrial gases).
3. Awareness of and acting in accordance with all safety precautions and GMP requirements relevant to task performance.
4. Attend GMP training sessions and ensure the training file and electronic record are maintained.
5. Perform area housekeeping activities (including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages, or equipment breakdowns).
6. Perform periodic area and equipment temperature and overpressure checks, including equipment calibration checks in accordance with area requirements and procedures.
7. Maintain all log books and ensure that old versions are replaced.
8. Pick/pack/ship GMP and non-GMP materials.
9. Inspection and operation of forklift and other manual handling equipment.
Qualifications/Skills:
1. Good communication (written and verbal). Ensure effective liaison/communication with all departments and the team, maintaining good relations at all times.
2. Demonstration of reliability, good timekeeping, and a responsible team/customer-oriented attitude.
3. Active engagement in departmental continuous improvement activities, questioning current practices to actively promote and improve the area.
4. Positively respond as on-call warehouse representative as required.
