Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy Genomics Laboratory, we are looking for Healthcare Science Practitionersto join our busy technical team. The Laboratory is part of the East NHS Genomic Laboratory Hub. This is one of seven Genomic Hubs established to provide the National Genomic Medicine Service for NHS England, led by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and working with Nottingham University Hospital and University Hospital Leicester. We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic and flexible attitude who has experience in sample preparation, DNA/RNA Extraction, culturing, gel electrophoresis or PCR. You will be a key member of the technical team, training staff and maintaining laboratory equipment. We encourage candidates who are considering a career in Biomedical Science, but do not have an undergraduate degree, to still apply; as this role can be adapted to align with the Level 6 apprenticeship pathway, where alongside your full time position, a BSc in Biomedical Science (IBMS accredited), can be obtained over a 4 year period.
