Job Description
The AECOM Cambridge PM team plays a critical role in delivering health and science projects that transform lives. Our work focuses on hospitals, research facilities, laboratories, and emergency response infrastructure, ensuring resilient and future-proof healthcare systems.
Here’s what you’ll do:
As the ideal candidate you will have consultancy or client-side experience in managing healthcare, science, or infrastructure projects and should be able to:
1. Project management for the successful delivery of healthcare and science-based construction projects.
2. Lead stakeholder engagement with NHS Trusts, research institutions, and government health agencies.
3. Guide and develop junior project managers within the team.
4. Secure client confidence and trust through excellent delivery and communication.
5. Manage project time, cost, and quality effectively.
6. Support sustainability, digital transformation, and resilience goals within healthcare and science infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Minimum requirements
1. Experience in healthcare, science, and/or infrastructure projects with an understanding of the latest trends, challenges, and regulatory environments.
2. Strong communication skills, including the ability to present project progress to NHS executives, medical researchers, and key stakeholders.
3. Experience in design, project management, and contract administration (JCT/NEC).
4. Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring healthcare and research projects meet regulatory and operational needs.
5. Knowledge of the pre- and post-contract project lifecycle within RIBA stages 1–7.
6. Excellent documentation, reporting, and compliance management to support hospital, science, and infrastructure projects.
Preferred qualifications
1. Chartered Status (RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or other relevant institution).
2. Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Master’s Degree.
3. APM or Prince 2 experience (desirable but not essential).
