Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Shirebrook Pay Rate: £85 - £120 per day GSL Education is looking for a caring and motivated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support schools in Shirebrook. Job Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs. Assist in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment to promote well-being and development. Use effective behavior management strategies to support students’ emotional and social development. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement personalized learning and behavior plans. Monitor student progress, providing feedback and adapting support as necessary. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEMH needs in an educational or care setting. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting SEMH students. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
