We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to lead the Radiology provision of our Cardiac Catheterisation service at Colchester Hospital, until 31st March 2026.
Part of the trusts new Interventional Radiology and Coronary Angiography (IRCA) Unit which opened May 2022, we are looking for someone to help lead our service. This unit is comprised of a Phillips Azurion 7 C12 for cardiology procedures and a Phillips Azurion FlexArm for Interventional Radiology procedures, a 3rd room will be used for non-X-ray cases and for future service development.
The role will have shared recovery for both specialities. You will also be required to rotate to Interventional Radiology and CT and participate in the Interventional Radiology on call service (when on call you will need to be within 45 minutes of the hospital) once appropriate training has been provided.
Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only. This will need to be discussed with your line manager., + Accountable for the daily management of the staff workflow adhering to agreed protocols
+ Provide significant knowledge and expertise in the clinical field of area
+ Lead RPS for the your Imaging modality and keep up to date with IR(ME)R policies cascaded from the IR(ME)R Lead
+ Undertake imaging to a high professional standard and ensuring good radiation governance processes are in place to support both
patients and staff
