Technical Assessor for Veterinary Activities
Role: Sub-Contractor
We are seeking experienced veterinarians and veterinary professionals with a strong background in animal health care and control for both farm and pet animals to join our expanding Technical Assessor team. If you are a qualified veterinarian with a passion for quality assessment and have extensive experience in animal health care and control, we want to hear from you. Playing a pivotal role, our external Technical Assessors are a crucial part of the UKAS assessment process, providing UKAS with the essential expertise required to deliver robust assessments.
Experience Required:
* Provide health care and control for farm and pet animals.
* Conduct clinical examinations, perform diagnostics, and administer treatments.
* Carry out veterinary care in various settings, including farms, kennels, homes, or surgery rooms.
* Assist in clinico-pathological assessments and other diagnostic activities related to animal health.
* Participate in animal ambulance services, ensuring safe and effective transport for animals in need of urgent care.
* Supervise or collaborate with veterinary assistants and other auxiliary personnel
Qualifications:
* Degree in veterinary medicine and relevant certifications.
* Ability to work in diverse environments, including field visits to farms and homes.
* Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with a focus on animal welfare.
Work Environments:
* Veterinary hospitals
* Visits to farms, kennels, homes, or in consulting and surgery rooms
