Support Worker Supported Living
At Glenelg Support, we provide exceptional care for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs in a supported living environment. We pride ourselves on working closely with both individuals and their families to develop personalized support plans that make a real difference in people's lives.
We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our teams across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who share our core values and have the skills to support those in need.
Daily responsibilities may involve assisting individuals in developing independent living skills, such as cleaning, cooking, personal care, laundry/ironing, budgeting, paying bills, and meal planning/shopping. You will also coordinate and attend appointments related to health and housing needs, support with medication administration, and help individuals engage with the community through activities they enjoy.
Our homes are based across Liverpool, Bootle, Sefton, Southport, Ormskirk, St Helens, and Leyland/Euxton Lancashire. They all have various levels of experience required, from Support Workers who are new to the sector, to those who have a wide range of support experience and in-depth knowledge of autism, challenging behaviour, Downs Syndrome, and dementia.

Key Requirements:
Desirable Experience:
* Understanding and experience working with autism and complex behaviours.
* Experience of working in a supported living environment.
* Knowledge of autism-specific approaches to communication, learning, and positive behaviour support.
* Experience working closely with families in a support capacity.
* Ability to handle a variety of tasks with flexibility and initiative.

* A full, clean, UK/EU driving license is required for all our current positions. Due to Mobility Car Insurance requirements, we can only accept applicants with a full UK/EU driving licence that has no endorsements or penalty points.
