The Role:
As an Account Director at Ogilvy, you will lead large Global 360 projects and forge strong relationships with the Unilever Brand Managers and Brand Directors. You will create momentum within the team to deliver high-quality work and identify opportunities to drive growth.
You will think one step ahead, identifying potential opportunities and next steps needed, flagging risks, and coming up with solutions for how the team can fulfill or overcome them. You will focus on driving world-class creativity within the team, to create great work that’s effective for your clients’ business. You will support the junior account team to help them learn and grow, giving them an opportunity to step up and lead elements of the projects with you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the day-to-day manager of your specific projects, the client’s first port of call.
* Develop, maintain and extend client relationships, becoming your client’s partner.
* Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, including their pressures, products, goals, and motivations.
* Manage client expectations in relation to project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* Lead the delivery of cross-functional integrated solutions by partnering with Ogilvy and WPP’s capability experts.
* Champion exacting standards for agency work, prioritizing meticulous attention to detail.
* Cultivate an environment that encourages the exploration of creative boundaries and visionary thinking.
* Stay abreast of the latest developments in creativity, marketing, and industry trends.
* Provide strategic counsel to clients, aligning their goals with effective campaign strategies.
* Act as a brand ambassador, embodying and propagating agency values and culture.
* Work closely with your PM team to oversee project timings and ensure projects are delivered on time and in full (OTIF).
* Help to drive the culture of the agency – become integral to its identity.
* Escalate to senior management when support is required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 1-2 years experience at Account Director level.
* Proven track record in successfully overseeing integrated marketing campaigns.
* Demonstrated ability to manage project execution from strategic inception to implementation.
* Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Experience in adapting global consistency to suit local nuances.
* Proficiency in harnessing digital tools for integrated campaign orchestration.
* Ability to leverage data analytics to inform strategy.
* Track record in budget management and achieving cost-effective project delivery.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills for conveying the value of integrated campaigns.
* Ability to manage multiple integrated projects with attention to detail.
