As a Product Line Sales Manager, you will be the single point of contact in the region for all sales activity relating to Bussmann and Switch Disconnect products and therefore have responsibility for meeting sales profit plan targets in the region.
What you’ll do:
* Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
* Develop, plan and prioritise new business relationships, generate and negotiate new customer/prospect contacts within UK&I EWS and Distribution and designated OEM accounts towards achieving agreed business aims.
* Contribute to the formulation of an overall strategy for existing and new markets to continuously grow the business.
* Provide sustainable customer productivity, improve network reliability and reduce life-time ownership costs for customers. Implement agreed market and product development projects for the market.
* Use customer and prospect contact activities, tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
* Effectively interact with other departments including the product/account management and technical teams when handing over campaigns ensuring all the relevant people are fully and correctly briefed in all aspects of the sale.
* Support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised sales activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing, liaising with Marketing department and Product Managers.
* Respond to and follow up sales enquiries (tenders) and requests for information in a timely manner using appropriate methods.
* Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following Company procedure.
* Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information working closely with inside sales and dedicated sales persons.
* Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements.
* Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
* Attend and present at internal to external customer meetings and with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
* Adhere to health and safety policy and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Electrical business and/or equipment
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in sales/product marketing
Skills:
* Technical: Power conversion supplies, power supply, Low Voltage & High Voltage systems.
* Commercial: Local market (customer and competitor) knowledge
* IT: SAP, CRM tools
