About the role
Reporting to the Head of Global HR Services, the Global HR Services Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of HR support services in colleague support at a global scale.
The role holder will ensure all HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively, providing a high level of support to both colleagues and leaders.
This role focuses on streamlining processes, ensuring a seamless colleague experience, leveraging HR technologies for automation, and enhancing HR services to free up HR capacity for strategic roles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of Global HR Services Advisers within their allocated remit (colleague support), managing operational execution, service quality and standards.
* Manage the delivery of upskilling and coaching within the team, carrying out annual review of skills matrix to identify any gaps in capability.
* Manage the performance and professional development of the Senior Global HR Services Advisers and Global HR Services Advisers, promoting learning and career development opportunities across various HR areas.
* Actively oversee resource management, ensuring the Global HR Services Advisers rotate cyclically across allocated processes / regional areas.
* Continuous monitoring of HR Services activities within their allocated remit (colleague support or process support) as per agreed SLAs and KPIs, driving continuous improvement and effectively managing risks and issues.
* Regular creation and interpretation of management information to be disseminated with stakeholder groups and used to inform decision making across HR.
* Remain fully conversant with HR policies and processes globally.
* Undertake quality assurance processes / requirements to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of HR Services in line with requirements.
* Monitor adherence to risk, compliance, and data protection standards across designated regions/process areas.
* Oversee and/or provide guidance around complex, non-routine hire-to-retire queries, acting as a point of escalation, seeking guidance from the Head of Global HR Services and partnering with CoEs and HRBP’s as required.
* Review root cause analysis for key issues to provide strategic advice to HR leadership of trends or patterns, providing solutions on how to proactively avoid issues going forward and drive improvements in the delivery of HR products and services, drawing on guidance from the Head of Global HR Services as required.
* Foster a positive work environment focused on collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with local HR teams to ensure consistent and effective HR practices across all locations.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Previous experience in operationally managing teams of HR professionals in a local and virtual setting.
* Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation to support the day-to-day running of the Global HR Services team.
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer or client satisfaction, leading teams to deliver exceptional service.
* Confident in day-to-day operational decision-making and in quickly establishing rapport with teams, effectively guiding team members towards achieving business objectives.
* Demonstrated commitment to knowledge acquisition and continuous self-improvement, with a focus on enhancing the colleague experience.
* Excellent analytical capabilities, questioning and refining existing processes to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
* Thorough understanding of industry-standard Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs, leveraging this knowledge to optimise HR service delivery.
* Internal Stakeholder management skills.
* Adept at both written and verbal communication, able to adjust styles to influence, negotiate, and establish clear guidelines, while also being a strong role model aligned with company values.
* Exposed to a range of HR cloud technologies such as Workday.
