Aqua-Tech Technical Services are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join our team, working on water treatment works projects in Central Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and performance criteria. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities: Plan, manage, and execute the commissioning of MEICA systems on water treatment works. Ensure all commissioning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and system validation. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control issues. Work collaboratively with design, project, and operational teams to optimise system performance. Ensure all testing and commissioning documentation is completed accurately. Provide technical support and training to site personnel. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met. Requirements: Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Engineering (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in MEICA commissioning within the water/wastewater industry. Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and associated control systems. Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, and instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required. Desirable: CSCS/EUSR Water Hygiene certification. SMSTS/SSSTS qualification. Experience working with utility providers and regulatory bodies.
