Key Responsibilities Lead the development, testing, and deployment of robust, scalable web applications using Vanilla PHP Design and build cloud-native solutions, integrating with AWS, Docker, and other cloud technologies. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and QA, to deliver end-to-end solutions. Shape Greenfield projects, architecting new applications and systems from the ground up. Refine development processes, improve deployment pipelines, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in technical decision-making and ensure software architecture is future-proof and scalable. Provide mentorship to junior developers, offering guidance on best practices, code reviews, and professional growth. Continuously monitor performance, ensuring applications are fast, secure, and reliable. Requirements At least 3 years of professional experience in PHP development A deep understanding of PHP OOP concepts. Solid knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including design, optimisation, and query tuning. Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Expertise with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Experience in performance optimisation, code refactoring, and building secure applications. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Desirable Skills Knowledge of microservices architecture and experience with building or consuming RESTful APIs. Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
