WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
As part of the global communications and public affairs team, this individual would play a key role in developing engaging, client-centric, in-person events that tell GBT’s story to an external audience. This person must be a detail-oriented, creative thinker with a passion for implementing exceptional experiences in all environments.
THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE (2 Years) with potential permanent hire.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Collaborate with the global experiential events team to plan, implement, and lead client-focused activations of all sizes in support of business goals and objectives.
* Deliver memorable client experiences in both virtual and in-person formats.
* Complete a variety of engagements simultaneously.
* Assist in the site selection and contracting process, including sourcing venues, vendors for catering, décor, technology for registration and/or virtual platforms, audio-visual elements, transportation, and entertainment.
* Contribute to and support the global client engagement program strategy.
* Maintain oversight of execution and event budget.
* Work in partnership with the regional communications lead and appropriate collaborators to ensure content deliverables are incorporated in the overall event presence, including keynote presentations, panels, breakout sessions, and client speaking opportunities.
* Co-manage the global activation calendar on behalf of the event experience program.
* Work collaboratively to handle a core partner team of meeting planners to ensure events are efficiently activated.
* Own event communications and updates to executive partners.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
* Strong practical and technical knowledge of both virtual event planning tools and practices as well as in-person event management expertise.
* Experience creating dynamic and engaging virtual experiences.
* An ability to partner with internal and external executive customers.
* Experience handling vendor relationships and negotiations.
* A successful track record of completing multi-faceted events, forums, and external engagements in support of global business priorities and messaging with a variety of partners.
* Shown success in dynamic project management, including project planning and execution.
* Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of challenging priorities.
* A desire to be part of a tight, high-performing global team.
* Time zone agnostic. Experienced in and understands the complexities with communicating to colleagues in a global, matrixed organization.
* A resilient self-starter who thrives in an environment of ambiguity and flexibility.
* Develop and maintain knowledge of technology and/or software solutions.

Location: United States
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
