Job summary The award winning Stroke team at Stepping Hill hospital is looking for a band 6 stroke assessment nurse to join our Hyper acute stroke unit in the Emergency department. As a district stroke centre we provide life saving treatment such as thrombolysis and anticoagulation reversal. HASU ED is a fast paced rewarding environment accepting patients from the Greater Manchester area between 7am and 11pm. As a stroke assessment nurse you would be one of the first points of contact for patients with new neurological symptoms of stroke. The stroke assessment nurse helps maintain bed flow between our stroke units in stepping hill and stroke units of patients local trusts.
