Reporting into the Chef Manager, responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering a quality catering service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements.
2. Compliance with food safely hygiene and health & safety procedures.
3. Minimising wastage when preparing meals and using equipment correctly.
4. Escalating concerns and issues.
Required knowledge & experience:
5. Level 2 food safety certificate.
6. Health & safety procedures including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH)
7. Previous catering experience with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives & kitchen equipment.
8. Experience of working with older people
Required skills:
9. Ability to organize time and prioritise activities.
10. Able to work in a pressured environment.
11. Flexible and able to work as part of a team and individually.
