About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Multi-trade Team Leader to be responsible for the delivery and coordination of a range of services including designated areas of work within Responsive Repairs, Void Property Maintenance, Care Services, Aids & Adaptations, Planned Maintenance Repairs, and Modernisation Programmes. Providing day-to-day support, training, development, and line management to a multi-trades team, you’ll ensure works carried out are to a high-quality standard, providing technical guidance as and when required.
Ensuring the effective delivery of services with minimal disruption, you’ll regularly review and monitor budgets with the Service Manager within designated areas of work, ensuring value for money is delivered throughout key services and contribute to the Development and Asset Management strategy and planning by engaging with colleagues in other teams to provide information about planning and investment needs and operational delivery.
Managing sub-contracted labour including monitoring performance standards, customer care, and authorisation of payment within delegated authority, you’ll monitor and use performance information of individuals and teams to improve performance, customer satisfaction, and overall service delivery.
About you
We’d like our Multi-trade Team Leader to have experience of managing a multi-trades team consisting of Multiskilled Builders and Joiners, delivering a repairs service and experience of working in a customer-focused environment. With experience of auditing multi-trade operatives and work, you’ll have strong relationship management skills with the ability to work with a wide range of tradespeople, Property Services Team Leaders, and stakeholders.
You’ll have experience of financial management and budgetary control with extensive knowledge and understanding of health and safety within a trade’s environment including working practices and you’ll be committed to continuing professional development and the undertaking of a multi-skilling qualification.
With strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, you’ll have clear written and verbal communication skills, able to understand and interpret numerical data with a positive and proactive approach to work.
