Your Role As an ECT Art Teacher, you will: Teach engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop technical skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art. Encourage experimentation and creativity while teaching key concepts in art history, visual communication, and creative process. Deliver well-planned, inclusive lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles. Assess student work thoughtfully, offering constructive feedback that supports individual progress. Contribute to the development of inspiring and accessible schemes of work within the department. Support the school’s creative culture through displays, exhibitions, and involvement in art-based extracurricular activities. ✅ What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a motivated and reflective ECT who: Holds or is on track to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by summer 2025. Has a relevant degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design, or a related discipline. Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues. Is confident in both traditional and contemporary art practices. Values inclusive teaching and is committed to helping every student achieve their potential.
