Senior Occupational Health Nurse Adviser
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Health (OH) Advisor to join our professional and supportive team. The OH Department is expanding and provides OH and wellbeing services to our Trust and selected corporate clients. We seek a dynamic individual who embodies our Trust values.
As a Senior OH Nurse, you will provide a high-quality, comprehensive Occupational Health service to key NHS community Trust clients, in line with the contract agreement. You will deliver services from various client locations in Surrey and work as part of the OH team at Epsom & St Helier’s Hospitals.
As an experienced OH nurse advisor, you will build relationships with key stakeholders and deliver occupational health services to the highest standards.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be an experienced OH Nurse, ideally with previous experience in a healthcare setting, capable of providing a full remit of services including case management, pre-workforce screening, vaccination, and phlebotomy services. The post-holder will ensure timely, customer-oriented service delivery.
Excellent team player skills are essential, along with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels. The role is based at St Helier Hospital but requires regular travel to various client sites within Surrey; therefore, a current driving license/car ownership is essential.
With proficient IT skills, you will manage your own clinical caseload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with self-motivation.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* NMC registered as Specialist Practitioner in Occupational Health with at least five years post-registration experience
Desirable criteria
* MSc in Occupational Health
* Counselling qualification
* NEBOSH certificate/diploma
Knowledge and Awareness
Essential criteria
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and OH computer systems
* Ability to provide and receive complex information requiring motivational and empathetic skills
Desirable criteria
* Working to Key Performance Indicators
Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience of developing and implementing national guidance into occupational health policy
* Experience of gathering data and producing reports
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience in occupational health and wellbeing in the NHS
* Experience of supervising and motivating staff
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and good working relationships quickly
* Ability to manage personal emotions and provide empathy and support in difficult situations
* Ability to develop trust and credibility rapidly with all staff levels
