Job summary We are a diverse team looking to adapt and develop our current Practice model to navigate the forthcoming changes to the NHS and are therefore seeking an ANP to join our clinical team in the challenging environment of General Practice in the Forest of Dean. Your role would be key to engaging with our patients while integrating into the team as a whole. Main duties of the job The post holder will demonstrate courageous and critical thinking and is a caring, compassionate and committed experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will commit to demonstrating critical thinking in the safe clinical decision-making process. They will communicate and work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. About us We are a relatively small Practice with 6500 patients - we currently 6 GPs, 3 Practice Nurses and 2 HCAs as well as 7 Reception staff and 5 admin staff. We are a tight knit, diverse and happy team with a pragmatic view to flexibility for all staff.
