An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Team as a Welsh speaking Online CBT Coordinator, primarily remote working from home (IT equipment provided) with the ability to travel on occasion.
Online CBT is a unique Wales wide service, providing an online therapy service designed to help children, young people and adults manage their mental health and wellbeing. The service is delivered by Powys Teaching Health Board, where you will be warmly welcomed into a large friendly team and will have the opportunity to work with patients across the country.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience of CBT to offer clinical support whilst focusing on recovery and outcomes.
The ability to hold a natural conversation in Welsh to support patients is essential as well as an honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent).
Training will be given by the Online CBT team on all aspects of the role and training and support is available to improve Welsh written skills if needed. CPD training opportunities are also available through the health board. Access to clinical support is available to you 9-5 Monday to Friday.
Requirements include high standards in all forms of communication, basic IT skills, work well under pressure, and have a flexible approach to work.
Main duties of the job
Working within a large friendly team and alongside other CBT Coordinators to promote and administer the Online CBT Service. Maintaining patient records, registering service users, providing activation details and monitoring progress. Leading on communication with Welsh speaking patients across Wales. Motivating, encouraging and offering clinical telephone/email support. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, referring unsuitable clients on to the relevant service.
Provide support and advice to all referring healthcare professionals, answering queries they or their service users may have. Be proactive in proposing and supporting the introduction of changes to procedures.
Be responsible for the management of the protocol process for monitoring and reporting of any risk alerts, criminal intent or patient deterioration as reported by users either within the Online CBT system or directly.
Manage clinical responsibility for any self-referrals. Provide training and continual support to colleagues and to the referring healthcare professionals relating to the Online CBT service.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Criteria
* The ability to hold a natural conversation in Welsh to support patients
* Honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent).
* Knowledge and understanding of different delivery methods of brief psychological therapies guided self-help, Online CBT Knowledge and understanding of CBT and Online CBT principles, interventions and or other psychological therapies
* Ability and willingness to learn new skills and ways of working
* Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships
* Ability to provide information, guidance, and advice about mental health issues to service users, carers and primary care providers
* Qualification in CBT or other evidence-based qualification - post grad or diploma level Accredited with BABCP or UKCP or other equivalent body or working towards
* Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Post graduate Certificate)
* Experience in using Online CBT platforms Knowledge and experience of delivering CBT guided self-help face to face and via telephone
* Awareness of theory and models that underpin counselling/or evidence based psychological therapies
* Awareness of the legislation underpinning service delivery, e.g. Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010
* Interest and or experience in research
