Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, Market Lavington surgery is a busy rural practice in the heart of Wiltshire. We aim to provide a high level of service to all of our patients and understand that we are a cornerstone in our community. This adminstration role is varied and intergal to the running of the surgery. We are looking for an individual who works well with people and data. Main duties of the job This role is comprised of two main aspects. Part one is a Clinical Auditor this reviewing patients data to check whether they are up to date with their care plans and interactions with the surgery. To invite patients in based on this data and to code this information appropriately. The second part of this role is that of Medical Secertary, this role primarily concerns the receiving of medical information regarding the patient and ensuring that it is processed correctly. Supported training will be provided, but working knowledge of the systems within general practice would be advantageous. Aspects of the post overlap, which is why we have therefore chosen to advertise it as one position. We do however, welcome applications for just one of these roles. Ensuring doctors follow-up queries and outstanding issues. Provide a full secretarial service to doctors and clinical staff as required, including audio transcribing, and complex referrals via the National Booking Service. Act as a point of contact for patients and their doctors. Liaise with other associated hospitals, their administrative staff and medical secretaries. Scanning & attaching of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes. Provide recall systems where appropriate, using a task system. Provide accurate data to enable patients to be registered properly on the database.
