Your Role as a Music Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Music lessons tailored to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and communication needs. Use music as a tool for self-expression, confidence-building, and sensory engagement. Adapt the music curriculum to meet the needs and abilities of students at different learning levels. Lead group and one-to-one music sessions, incorporating a variety of instruments, technology, and vocal techniques. Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation. Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and therapists to create an inclusive approach to learning. Organise school performances and music workshops to showcase student talent and build confidence. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ✅ Experience teaching Music in a secondary setting, ideally with students with SEN. ✅ A passionate and adaptable teaching approach with a focus on engagement and creativity. ✅ Strong understanding of differentiation, music therapy techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies. ✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
