We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Nursery Chef to take sole responsibility for running the nursery kitchen and cooking for up to 54 children aged 4 months to 5 years. The successful candidate with have a passion for creating wholesome, nutritious and inviting meals for young children. You will be organised and efficient and responsible for the ordering, cleaning schedules and adhering to the ‘Safer Food Better Business’ protocols. Although working independently, we are keen for the Chef to feel fully part of the wider nursery staff team and to also work collaboratively to create a positive dining experience for the children.
You will be:
- Preparing nutritious and tasty meals for children aged 0-5
- Providing for children with various dietary requirements
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
You should have:
- Food Hygiene certificate
- Good organisational skills
- Previous experience cooking for large groups
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
