My client is well-established company in the fire safety industry, seeking a reliable and dedicated Fire Extinguisher Engineer to the team in Reading. As part of our growing business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients by servicing, maintaining, and installing fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
Service & Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair a range of fire extinguishers and fire safety equipment at client sites.#
Installation & Replacement: Install new fire extinguishers and replace expired or faulty equipment, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards.
Testing & Certification: Carry out pressure tests and ensure all fire extinguishers are fully operational and meet regulatory requirements.
Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service and professional advice to clients regarding fire safety and equipment.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide certification of service.
Health & Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, ensuring the safety of both yourself and clients during every visit.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience as a Fire Extinguisher Engineer, Fire Safety Technician, or in a similar role preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Qualifications: Relevant fire safety qualifications (e.g., BAFE or similar) are desirable but not essential.
Driving License: Full UK driving license (company van provided).
Location: Based in or around Reading, with occasional travel to nearby areas.
