The Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick is an island general/acute hospital serving Shetland's 22,000 residents plus the offshore oil industry and maritime population. The hospital provides acute/elective general surgical and general medical inpatient and outpatient services in addition to consultant led A&E. More specialist services are provided by visiting consultants and tele-medicine services. There is no resident Radiologist but we have reporting sonographers and reporting radiographers, and work closely with local clinicians providing the usual in/out patient, GP and acute 24-hour service cover with remote Radiologist support.
Do you have experience working at a senior level rotating through CT and general x-ray, including mobiles and theatre, in a UK NHS Hospital? This fixed term position could be perfect for you. Come and join our small, friendly team of Radiographers and experience what Shetland has to offer.
