Certain Advantage are working with a global Engineering and Technical services firm to hire an Assistant Project Manager to be based out of their Bristol offices.
The opportunity:
Our clients Nuclear Power Programmes unit supports the advancement of nuclear energy and aims to contribute to a sustainable, secure energy future. Operating across the UK and Europe, they are expanding their team for various nuclear projects at different development stages.
The role involves working in multi-disciplinary teams and supporting project delivery in areas such as:
* Health and safety reporting
* Quality and schedule progress reporting
* Financial and budget assessment
* Contract administration
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and document meetings with key stakeholders.
* Support and attend Multi-Disciplinary and Joint Management Team meetings.
* Organize technical, cost, contractor, and scheduling meetings.
* Promote collaborative working between Design, Procurement, Planning, and Construction teams.
* Produce project documentation and implement management systems.
* Ensure NNB arrangements are applied and advise on necessary actions.
* Facilitate internal communications within the Project Delivery and relevant teams.
* Assist the Project Manager with deliverables and Earned Value Management (EVM)
Requirements:
* Project management skills with practical experience, ideally certified.
* Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to engage senior managers.
* Excellent people management and collaboration skills.
* Analytical skills for budget analysis and forecasting.
* Commercial awareness and knowledge of APM principles.
* Understanding of the Nuclear Safety Case.
