The Job in short Backbase is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join one of our development teams. This team is dedicated to enhancing our Customer Support capability, a key component of the Backbase Native AI Banking Platform. Our Customer Support capability allows banks to provide their customers with exceptionally fast and efficient support, including embedded agentic/conversational AI aspects to provide a seamless customer support experience. Meet the Job Build responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript that are clean, testable, scalable, and easily maintainable; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and deliver high-quality solutions; Take full ownership of the Customer Support capability throughout its lifecycle, embodying a "you build it, you own it" mindset; We provide a flexible working model that allows employees to work both on-site and remotely. How about you? You are a software engineer with 5 years relevant experience, with a focus on building scalable, resilient, and accessible user-friendly web experiences; You possess expert knowledge of Angular, Typescript, CSS, and HTML; You are familiar with the objectives of modern frameworks like Angular and understand their core architectural principles; You have significant experience in testing frameworks including Jest, Cypress, and Playwright; Experience with Nx is an advantage; You have a strong understanding of reactive programming with RxJS; You have strong communication skills, enabling you to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels and secure buy-in from both technical leads and team members; You are passionate about embracing AI/ML tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Windsurf, and you enjoy shaping the product or platform’s functionality with AI; Experience with Fintech products or the banking industry is a plus; You have experience in areas such as security, performance, and scalability.
