What you will do in your working day
Day to day role responsibilities include:
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications
* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
* Restock items as needed throughout the shift
* Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
The training you will be getting
* The apprentice will be working towards the Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard
* College attendance will be at the Colchester Institute - Colchester Campus one day per week during term time
* English and maths qualifications form a mandatory part of all apprenticeships and must be completed before an apprentice can pass through gateway.

Our group (Black Jacket Group) also caters for hundreds of events throughout the year, alongside operating our own wedding venue in St Osyth where the successful candidate has the potential to work with incredibly experienced and dedicated chefs to deliver the widest possible variety of food service.
