Governance Monitoring and Controls Senior Manager - Salary up to £80,000 We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to establish and lead a brand-new team You will lead and manage a small team of analysts to ensure the operational environment for all new and migrated insured products on the FNZ platform is fit for purpose and operating effectively. You will provide expert advice, oversight, and support to the Product Owner. A bit about the job: Your team will ensure business operations comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will oversee the development of policies, procedures, and controls, and develop and maintain risk management frameworks and methodologies to identify, assess, and manage operational risks. You will support the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables, enabling us to act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm, and support our customers in pursuing their financial objectives. This includes ensuring accurate customer outcomes and minimizing financial risk to Aviva Life & Pensions. As part of the Aviva CASS & Middle Office Team, you will collaborate with other FNZ oversight teams (e.g., Middle Office and CASS Recs teams) to review, approve, and test technical changes to the platform. This ensures the segregation between insured and investment products and the successful implementation of insured products onto the platform. You will also manage the live control environment for insured products, ensuring it operates effectively and is segregated from the CASS environment. You will monitor and address any issues with the administration of insured products by the FNZ system and FNZ operations. Additionally, you will map and maintain the control environment, proactively identifying and preventing any issues. You will be accountable for the delivery of the team, evaluating and monitoring team performance, providing guidance, coaching, and support. You will share your expertise and knowledge to help team members develop their skills and abilities, ensuring their professional growth and development. Skills and experience we're looking for: Ability to accurately identify and proactively resolve risk issues, understanding causes of failure and identifying areas of weakness and using influencing skills with colleagues, the various business areas and/or third parties to resolve them and mitigate the risk of them reoccurring. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability. Must be able to evidence strong stakeholder management skills in a challenge and support capacity. Desirable to have insurance industry background, experience working with insured products (Bonds and Pensions) and the FNZ platform would be ideal. Proven ability to effectively lead a team, including experience in coaching and development support.
