Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Site Sustainability Lead for our Arla Foods Stourton site. As the Site Sustainability Lead, you will be responsible for driving and implementing sustainability initiatives at our Stourton site, ensuring that we meet our environmental and social responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a site-specific sustainability strategy in line with Arla Foods' overall sustainability goals.
* Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities, and implement measures to reduce our carbon footprint, water usage, waste generation, and energy consumption.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable practices across operations, including waste management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy projects.
* Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive sustainability initiatives, including local community engagement and supplier sustainability assessments.
* Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics, providing regular updates to site management and the wider Arla Foods sustainability team.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree desired in Energy, Electricity, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience in driving sustainability initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and best practices.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver on multiple sustainability projects.
* Strong knowledge of site utilities including Steam Boiler, Air Compressors, HVAC, Refrigeration, CHP plants and their optimisation.
