An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our client, a world leading global aerospace manufacturing organisation in Belfast, as a Maintenance Technician.
This is an opportunity for a full-time role based on a 13-week probation period with potential to transfer to the client. Paying £39,931.32 progressing to £44,160.48 over the first two years per annum, working a 36hr week, Mon - Thurs 7.30am-15.55pm & Fri 7.30am-11.50pm. Once transferred, a potential for shift work may be required at an additional rate.
Purpose of the Job
Work to create an environment within the team which encourages superior performance in the diagnosis, repair, servicing, and proactive maintenance of all production facilities ensuring optimum equipment availability and reliability in accordance with current health & safety, environmental and statutory legislation.
Responsibilities
1. Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, modifying, servicing, and maintaining production equipment across all sites.
2. Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety Legislation and safe housekeeping practices.
3. Completing scheduled job plans & breakdown assistance on production equipment to conform to the manufacturer's specifications.
4. Ensuring all maintenance activities are recorded accurately on the Maintenance Management system, effectively communicated to Senior Maintenance Engineer, and stored in accordance with departmental procedures to ensure compliance with Company quality standards and legislation.
5. Liaising & communicating at a technical level with your Senior Maintenance Engineer on any breakdown support & planned repairs.
6. Promoting team building and shared learning whilst encouraging innovative thinking and continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
7. Undertake any other task to successfully fulfil the duties of this role.
Candidate Requirements

1. Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
2. Have completed an Engineering Mechanical/Electrical Apprenticeship or attained an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
3. Additionally, candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following:
1. Use and application of a computerised maintenance management system.
2. Legislation and guidelines pertaining to the maintenance-engineering environment.
3. Diagnostic and analytical capabilities.
4. Electrical, Mechanical, PLC and CNC systems.
5. Communicating in an effective manner.
