With cyber security attacks on the increase, it is important that all IT implementations are secure and monitored accordingly. The role of the Senior Cyber Defence Analyst is to support the Cyber Defence Department and other information security functions within the Kingfisher Group and its Banners, providing technical expertise and interpreting data to determine the risks that exist, and the actions required to mitigate them.
What's the job?
* Track, manage, and resolve Cyber Security events.
* Lead the analyst technical response to a cyber incident, including documentation and communication, and maintain CDC SLAs for all services.
* Mentor junior Analysts in day-to-day activities.
* Drive the continual improvement of the CDC, enhancing its efficiency, effectiveness, culture, and overall maturity.
* Analyse security risks and their impact on the operating environment as a result of cyber incidents, recommending practical improvements to reduce Banner risk.
* Deliver high-level cyber defence capabilities into the CDC and across the wider business.
* Act as an SME in projects where threat and CDC expertise are required.
* Drive the implementation and adoption of technical security policies.
* Become a subject matter expert in a technology area critical to the future growth and strategy of Kingfisher.
What you'll bring
* Cyber event and incident analysis, investigation, and incident handling.
* Current knowledge of cyber threats and experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
* Working knowledge of information security technologies: SIEM, Firewall, Threat Hunting, and cloud security.
* Hands-on experience with EDR, threat hunting, and forensic tools.
* Strong technical skills to operate and improve cyber controls.
* Hands-on security engineering experience, e.g., firewall management, SIEM / IDS / IPS configuration.
* Understanding of IT networks.
* Understanding of technical architecture and security aspects of infrastructure and cloud technologies.
* Experience improving technical security standards and policies.
* In-depth experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, NIST.
* Strong understanding of the business relevance of information security risks and current trends in information security.
* Ability to work under pressure and cope with competing demands.
* Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and cross-functional departments.
* Strong presentation and communication skills.
