We have a new opportunity available for an experienced Procurement Manager, to be based in Braintree in Essex. This offers an annual salary of £35,000 to £45,000 depending on your experience, plus benefits.

This is a full-time, office-based, permanent position. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 am until 5.30 pm. You will be working for an award-winning, growing National Property Developer who are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join their expanding team. You will report directly to their Senior Leadership Team, and you will liaise internally with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors & Build Managers. Their development team operates in two markets, National Property Development & Civils. They purchase old commercial properties and refurbish them into residential properties through Permitted Development. Their Civils teams provide civil engineering solutions for the Construction & Telecoms industries.
As the Procurement Manager your duties will include:
1. Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate coding of orders to projects.
2. Maintain records of goods/services ordered and received/completed.
3. Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
4. Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
5. Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts.
6. Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
7. Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
8. Monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
9. Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise.
10. Travel to vendor locations.
11. Work closely with Finance to ensure accuracy of inventory and coding of orders.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need:
1. 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing.
2. Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
